Davenport, Iowa Dec. 11.—Special Telegram.—Harvey Leonard, one of the pioneers of Eastern Iowa, died at his home in this city this morning. He was a liberal patron of American art. He will long be remembered by many young men, who can attribute their success to his far-sigted judgment in assisting them to start in business. These are the living monuments, reared by his own hand, which will perpetuate his memory through generations to come.

A brief note of explanation: This text is randomly generated from obituaries I culled out of tun-of-the-century New Englend newspapers. The parts have been arranged in such a way as to always “make sense,” if there is any sense in that.
