Michael Stewart

Davenport, Iowa Dec. 11.—Special Telegram.—Harvey Leonard, one of the pioneers of Eastern Iowa, died at his home in this city this morning. At the age of seventeen he entered Princeton College. He remained there for two years and then entered Union College from which he graduated in 1840. He left an ample fortune, which had been accumulated by his most prominent characteristics—thrift and determination.
